8-1 Standard Mail

The following supplies are necessary for the preparation of Standard Mail service:

1. Mailing sacks or trays — depending on mailpiece size.
2. Sack or tray labels, as appropriate.
3. Tag 11, Congressional Mail (see Appendix A).
4. Blank postage statements (PS Form 3602–R, Postage Statement - Standard Mail).

Note: Strapping may be required for trays and sleeves but is not supplied by the Postal Service.
