NEW FINANCE COURSE
Business Finance Workshop - Online and in CD-ROM
How well do you know Postal Service finance? Executive and administrative schedule (EAS) employees now
have access to a new 11-hour finance course titled "Business Finance Workshop" that was previously available only
to a limited audience. Strategic Management Group developed the course through a contract with the Chicago
Purchasing and Materials Service Center. By completing
the course, you will:
Increase your awareness of finance.
Enhance your appreciation for Postal Service
business drivers.
Become more customer focused and effective in
adding value to Postal Service products and
services.
Gain better control of postal expenditures.
The course costs $110 and is offered both online and in
CD-ROM. The online course ID number is 31Q0113; the
CD-ROM ID number is 31Q0117. Obtain approval for the
course from your local Human Resources (HR) office.
Once you receive approval, your local HR office will initiate
your registration for the course.

FINANCIAL REPORTING - MANUAL SOA CAG H-L OFFICES ONLY
Effective September 7, 2002 - the beginning of postal
fiscal year (PFY) 2003 - all CAG H-L Post Offices that
submit manual statements of account (SOAs) must use the
following forms:
PS Form 1551, Accountbook for Post Offices and Financial Reporting Units - CAGs H-L (June 2000
edition).
PS Form 1555, Statement of Account (SOA) for
CAGs H-L (June 2000 edition).
Only manual SOA CAG H-L offices should use these
forms. Ensure that the edition date is June 2000.
District accounting offices (DAOs) will distribute the
forms to Post Offices no later than August 23, 2002.
Post Offices that do not receive the forms by this date or
need additional forms should contact their DAO, not the
Material Distribution Center (MDC). The MDC provides the
forms to DAOs only.
DAOs requiring additional forms should order them from
the MDC. DAOs should exclude Standard Field Accounting
Procedures (SFAP) offices from their orders and order only
as many forms as necessary.
DAOs can order the forms in one of the following ways:

800-332-0317, choose option 1, then option 2.
Note: You must be registered to use TTOE. To register, call 800-332-0317, choose option 8, extension
2925, and follow the prompts to leave a message
(wait 48 hours after registering before you place your

attachment to the e-mail address MDC Customer
Service or to mcustome@email.usps.gov.
