Summary of Changes - International Mail
The Postal ServiceTM is adopting new international
mail postage rates and fees. The total international rate increase is
5.9 percent. To the extent possible, the targeted increase is 5.4 percent,
consistent with our domestic rate change.
There are five principal categories of international
mail, primarily differentiated by speed of service. They are Global Express
Guaranteed®, Global Express Mail®, Global Priority Mail®, airmail, and
economy mail.
We will include the new international mail postage
rates and fees in the January 8, 2006, update of the International
Mail Manual (IMM) and in the international rate calculator available
on Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
