Handbook EL-814, Postal Employee’s Guide to Safety, Now Available at the Material Distribution Center

Handbook EL-814, Postal Employee’s Guide to Safety, has been revised to update policies and procedures for the following activities:

• Reporting unsafe conditions or acts (introduction).
• Submitting suggestions to supervisors (introduction).
• Handling spills and leaks of flammable materials (section III-E).
• Wearing face and eye protection (section IV-B-1).
• Using compressed air (section V-F).
• Towing wheeled equipment (section VIII-C).
• Using dog repellent spray (section IX-D-1).
• Parking (section X-E-4).

These revisions result from changes in Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and Postal Service™ policies.
