Procedures for Postal Store Retail Packaged Stamps

Breast Cancer Research Semipostal Packages (Postal Stores)

The Breast Cancer Research semipostal packaged stamps Item No. 553015 (20 stamps) have a price of $9.00 on the label. On May 14, 2007, the price will increase to $11.00. The Postal Service™ is not permitted to sell a product at a price higher than what is printed on the packaging. Therefore, all of the slat wall packaged stamps will have to be re-labeled, with the correct price. The new label must be placed on top of the old label on the reverse side of the packet.

New labels are being shipped directly to stamp distribution offices (SDOs). They are expected to be in SDOs by mid-April. There are 25 labels per sheet. Offices with Breast Cancer Research semipostal stamp slat wall packets must order the number of sheets necessary to re-label all packets. Once completed, each office must report to their district retail office that all Breast Cancer Research semipostal stamp packets have been re-labeled.

SDOs will ship the new labels with every reorder of Breast Cancer Research semipostal stamp slat wall packets (Item No. 553015). Additional labels are available at the accountable paper depositories, if needed. A sample of the new label is located below.
