Changes in Cellular Services Management

Effective June 1, 2007, the Postal Service™ will change the way it pays for, manages, and maintains cellu­lar telephone services. ProfitLine will handle cellular orders and repairs, pay bills, and handle all other matters related to cellular telephones and broadband services, and Blackberry units.

Ordering Cellular Services

You must use the eAccess application in order to get cellular services for Blackberry units, cellular telephones, and broadband. Information Technology has modified eAccess to include cellular service acquisitions and the necessary approvals in order to support the Postal Service workforce.

• From the Intranet, type “eAccess” in the address bar. Click on Enter Application. Enter your ACE logon ID and password.
• Click Request Access.
• At the bottom of the screen, click on Next.
• In the pop-up search window, type “cellular” and click on Search. Then double click on the cellular service of your choice.

You will be able to order the type of phone device that you need as well as accessories to support the device. You will be able to choose the cellular vendor that offers the best coverage for your geographic area.

Once your manager approves the request, the telephone device will be shipped to you at your duty station of record.

Resolving Problems

Also effective June 1, ProfitLine will handle problems with cellular telephone services. The contact differs for each cellular service.

Blackberry unit	Call the central IT Help Desk at 800-USPS-HELP. At the prompt, say Blackberry.
Cellular broadband service	Call the central IT Help Desk at 800-USPS-HELP. At the prompt, say IT connect.
Cellular telephone	Call the ProfitLine Help Desk at 866-506-7940.

Invoices and Billing

Currently all Cingular cellular bills are sent to Profitline for payment. Beginning June 1, all cellular bills dated with service on or after June 1 must be sent to Profitline for pay­ment. This includes Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Nextel, T–Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Suncom, and any other cellular company that provides the Postal Service with cellular services, including service on Blackberry units, cellular phones, and broadband cards.
