Thomas Higgins

A dozen of the Postal Service’s top vehicle maintenance technicians tested their skills during the second annual USPS Golden Wrench light-truck skills competition in Norman, OK.

The contest — held at the USPS National Center for Employee Development — was open to all technicians at USPS vehicle maintenance facilities who maintain the Postal Service’s 200,000-vehicle fleet.

Chattanooga, TN, technician Thomas Higgins had the highest score, winning the competition. Higgins finished just ahead of technicians Thomas Worcester of Panama City, FL, and Michael Martin of Memphis, TN. Higgins also was the 2006 heavy-truck champion.
