On May 11, 2009, in Kansas City, Missouri, the Postal Service™ will issue a 44-cent, Forever™ definitive personalized stamped envelope. The envelope, designed by Terrence W. McCaffrey, USPS®, will go on sale at Stamp Fulfillment Services (SFS) on May 11, 2009.
The Forever stamped envelopes are only available for personalization. The following formats will be available to purchase on the first day of issue at SFS. Use the following item numbers when ordering from SFS, 800-STAMP-24 (800-782-6724).
These envelopes are only offered in box sizes of 50 and 500. When ordering, please indicate the item number.
The prices for boxes of pressure-sensitive adhesive envelopes are as follows:
n Box of 50 — $31.80.
n Box of 500 — $262.00.
The prices for boxes of water-activated gum envelopes are as follows:
n Box of 50 — $26.80.
n Box of 500 — $247.00.
Customers have 60 days to obtain the first day of issue postmark by mail. They may purchase new stamps at their local Post Office™, at The Postal Store® website at www.usps.com/shop, or by calling 800-STAMP-24. They should affix the stamps to envelopes of their choice, address the envelopes (to themselves or others), and place them in a larger envelope addressed to:

After applying the first day of issue postmark, the Postal Service will return the envelopes through the mail. There is no charge for the postmark. All orders must be postmarked by July 13, 2009.
SFS will not be offering first day covers for this envelope. Customers wanting to obtain the first day of issue cancellation should refer to “How to Order the First Day of Issue Postmark” above.
How to Order Digital Color Postmark
SFS will be offering digital color postmark bundles of six (6) with the official first day issue digital color postmark cancellation. Items are listed under Philatelic Products. Customers may request a free USA Philatelic catalog by calling 800-STAMP-24 or writing to:
