Effective July 24, 2009, the federally mandated minimum wage was increased to $7.25 per hour. Local buying officials must ensure that self-employed service suppliers, who supply services purchased under local buying procedures, earn no less than the minimum wage of $7.25 per hour as of July 24, 2009.
