IMM Revision: U.S. Customs Service Locations

Effective April 5, 2010, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM^®) 711.62 to update the U.S. Customs Service locations.

Previously, the Customs Service locations that were noted in 711.62 were designated by city and state. This revision now includes the designated airport code and updated address for each listing. We have removed loca­tions for Michigan, Minnesota, and Texas, and we have added a location for Puerto Rico.

U.S. Customs officers at the locations noted in Exhibit 711.62 are authorized to perform the following tasks:

a. Inspect foreign-originating mailpieces that arrive through each designated port of entry.

b. Evaluate protests by addressees who are dissatisfied with the assessed value, rate, or amount of duty charged (see 713.23).
