Effective immediately, Handbook AS-805-C, Information Security for General Users, is revised. The April 2010 edition has been updated to reflect the following:
n Passwords: Encourage use of longer passwords, discourage poorly constructed passwords, and recognize that passwords may be written down but must be protected.
n Use of Information Resources: Update section for current technology and threats.
n Network Connectivity Review Board (NCRB) Request Form: Indicate where to find the current version of the NCRB Request Form.
n Sensitive Information: Update classification terminology and protection requirements.
n Incidents: Add additional examples of incidents and two new payment card industry requirements.
