IMM Revision: Global Express Guaranteed Service — Country Updates

Effective June 6, 2011, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM^®) section 213.5, the Country Price Groups and Weight Limits table, and the Individual Country Listing for several countries to reflect changes to size, weight, and content restrictions to various Global Express Guaranteed^® (GXG^®) destinations due to FedEx Express operational needs. The updates are as follows:

n Andorra: The maximum weight limit is reduced to 4 pounds (previously, the weight limit was 70 pounds).

n Belarus: The maximum dimensions are reduced to 46 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 35 inches high (previously, the maximum dimensions were 46 inches long, 35 inches wide, and 46 inches high). The current maximum length and girth combined of 108 inches remains unchanged.

n Bhutan: The “documents only” restriction for items sent to Bhutan is removed. Because of this change, mailers may now ship “nondocument” items to Bhutan.

n Congo, Democratic Republic of the: The maximum weight limit is reduced to 66 pounds (previously, the weight limit was 70 pounds).

n Papua New Guinea: The maximum dimensions are reduced to 28 inches long, 35 inches wide, and 46 inches high (previously, the maximum dimensions were 46 inches long, 35 inches wide, and 46 inches high). The current maximum length and girth combined of 108 inches remains unchanged.
