DMM Revision: Shipping Assistant Rebranded as Click-N-Ship for Business

Effective June 24, 2012, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) 705.18.5.7 to add reference to the new terminology that identifies the Shipping Assis­tant desktop application as “Click-N-Ship® For Business.”

Effective April, 22, 2012, the Shipping Assistant desktop application for creating shipping labels was rebranded under the name of “Click-N-Ship® For Business.” The DMM is being revised to incorporate the new terminology.

18.5.7 Address Label Service Barcode Requirement

[Revise the fifth sentence of the introductory paragraph of 18.5.7 as follows:]

***USPS certification is required from the National Cus­tomer Support Center (NCSC) for each printer used to print barcoded open and distribute address labels, except for barcodes created using USPS Web Tools or Click-N-Ship For Business.***
