Finance Number Control Master Requests Freeze During National Accounting Oracle Financials Application R12 Upgrade

Finance, Supply Management, and Information Technol­ogy are partnering to perform the major National Accounting Oracle Financials Application (NAOFA) R12 Upgrade begin­ning at 5 p.m. Central Time on August 9 until August 27, 2012. During this time, there will be a freeze for all finance number control master (FNCM) requests. The FNCM field sales branch (FSB) will queue all requests during the outage and will resume processing on August 28, 2012.

Remember the following regarding email requests:

n As a reminder, all FNCM requests should be emailed to the outlook group FNCM FSB in Microsoft Office Outlook. Information on the new process can be found in the FNCM Users’ Guide on the Accounting webpage at http://blue.usps.gov/wps/portal/accounting.

n All emails are to be sent to the FNCM FSB email address using “District XXX — FNCM UFN REQUEST” where XXX is the district number, as the subject line.

n Changes to cash retained must be made by an authorized district employee.

n Requests received by 2:00 p.m. will be processed by 2:00 p.m. the following business day.

n An email notification of completed requests will be sent to the district finance managers for new units only.

n Requests that cannot be completed will be returned to the requestor with an explanation.

There will be a blackout period for PostalOne!® Interface Activations August 18 and August 25, 2012.
