The Mail Recovery Center has established a new Outlook mailbox to receive Search requests for undeliverable mailpieces that show an “Arrival at Unit @ Atlanta, GA 30378” scan or an “Undeliverable as Addressed @ Atlanta, GA 30378” scan into the Mail Recovery Center (Atlanta, GA 30378). By collecting Search requests through a centralized point, the MRC can improve response time and offer a more efficient process to return customer property.
Here is the new process for items with verified MRC scan events:
n Go to USPS Blue page “Track and Confirm” and enter the customer’s tracking number.
n If scan shows an “Arrival at Unit @ Atlanta, GA 30378” scan and/or an “Undeliverable as Addressed @ Atlanta, GA 30378” scan, send your request via email to MRC Arrivals for final disposition (see MRC Search Request form).
n Items located within the MRC will be returned to customers.
For items researched in “Track and Confirm” that do not show “Arrival at Unit @ Atlanta, GA 30378” scan and/or an “Undeliverable as Addressed @ Atlanta, GA 30378” scan, continue to send Search requests via email to MRC SEARCH.
