Effective October 7, 2013, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) section 705.8.5.6, to modify the requirement for placement of letter trays on pallets.
Currently, the standards in DMM 705.8.5.6 require placing the heaviest letter trays on the bottom of pallets while other standards require the placement of certain trays on the top of pallets. This revision brings section 705.8.5.6 into alignment with the standards in DMM 245.7.7 that require placement of mixed AADC trays on the top of pallets.
