DMM Revision: Clarifications to Extra Services Standards

Effective December 8, 2014, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Ser­vice, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) part 503 to include clarifications and additional reference points to make it easier to find related extra services standards.

These changes are following a reformatting of part 503 made earlier in 2014, as we continue our initiative to reduce the size of the DMM without changes to standards. These additional changes are designed to make using the DMM quicker, easier, and more convenient.

We will incorporate these revisions into the December 2014 update of the DMM, which is available via Postal Explorer® at http://pe.usps.com.
