The purpose of this notice is to clarify the language in the preamble of DMM Revision article “New Flats Sequencing System (FSS) Sortation Level” published in Postal Bulletin 22417 (6-11-15, page 4).
Effective July 13, 2015, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) section 708.1.4 to add a new column header abbreviation. This revision is a result of the FSS DMM revisions announced in Postal Bulletin 22415 (5-14-15, pages 20–90) that were effective May 31, 2015. The new column header abbreviation to identify a FSS Facility container in the Standardized Documentation will be FSF.
