Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitors and televisions are not to be sent to the Asset Recovery Center in Topeka, KS, until further notice. CRTs require a special type of disposition and that process has been slowed due to falling market demand.
There is a backlog of these items in Topeka. Investment Recovery (IR) is working to create a new disposal plan for current and future CRT monitors and televisions. As soon as a solution is solidified, IR will provide information and instructions regarding CRT disposal.
For more information on this and other IR services, please contact your local Asset Accountability Service Center (AASC) by accessing the AASC website at http:⁄⁄blue.usps.gov⁄purchase⁄assetmgnt⁄am_aasc_home.htm or send an email to InvestmentRecovery@usps.gov.
