Effective February 16, 2017, the Postal Service™ is issuing Management Instruction (MI) EL-430-2017-1, Back Pay, to update policy and procedures for the back pay compensation process. The document provides:
n A brief overview of the back pay compensation process,
n Information about organizational responsibilities, and
n The procedures for processing a claim.
Once posted, the MI EL-430-2017-1 will supersede all previous management instructions for the back pay compensation process on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:
n Go to http://blue.usps.gov.
n In the left-hand column, under “Essential Links,” click PolicyNet.
n Click MIs.
