Employee Engagement Matters — Making Your Opinion Count One Survey at a Time

The U.S. Postal Service® continues to make employee engagement a top priority because of its commitment to employees. As Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer Megan Brennan states, “Our greatest opportunity as leaders is to engage and empower employees to bring their best selves to work every day.”

Managers and supervisors can improve employee engagement by building trust and meaningful relationships with employees. All employees must understand what is expected of them at work and what their role is within the organization. Employee engagement matters because it is a leading indicator of business success.

Simply stated, employees who are more engaged provide better customer service, have better attendance, and are prone to fewer accidents. Your participation in the Postal Pulse® survey helps us measure the level of engagement in work groups and provide an analysis of what can improve the work environment for all employees and their teams. The Postal Pulse survey is now open and will close on September 15, 2017.

Ensure that you and your employees are involved in workplace improvement efforts by encouraging all members of your team to fill out the Postal Pulse survey. We will use the feedback we receive to determine necessary actions to help improve USPS® workplaces.

Here are some of the most convenient ways to take the Postal Pulse survey:

n Bargaining employees: work and home mailings, Outlook email, or LiteBlue.

n PCES/EAS employees: Outlook email or LiteBlue.

Remember, higher levels of employee engagement equals an improved customer experience — please return your survey by September 15.

If you have questions about the Postal Pulse survey or its confidentiality requirements, please contact the Engagement team by sending an email to Engagement@usps.gov or by calling 844-303-6424.
