Update: Stamp Announcement 17-36: Celebrating African American History and Culture Stamp

The U.S. Postal Service^® has postponed the first-day-of-issue (FDOI) event for the Celebrating African American History and Culture stamp shown in the article “Stamp Announcement 17-36: Celebrating African American History and Culture,” in Postal Bulletin 22473, (8-3-17, page 36).

We will reschedule the FDOI event for the Celebrating African American History and Culture stamp to a date later in the year.

Post Offices™ who received this stamp in their automatic distribution push must take the following actions:

n Receive the stamps into inventory as usual.

n Disregard the FDOI date provided on the shipment invoice.

n Place the stamps in a secure location until a new FDOI date is announced and further instructions are given. Administrative Post Offices must notify Remotely Managed Post Offices under their ordering structure of any changes for this stamp.
