Management Instruction EL-670-2018-4: Providing Personal Assistance Services

Effective October 1, 2018, the Postal Service™ issued Management Instruction (MI) EL-670-2018-4, Providing Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which establishes guidelines for providing these services, as needed, to Postal Service employees with targeted disabilities. The MI provides definitions and describes legal obligations, policies, and processes to ensure proper evaluation of requests and the appropriate use of PAS.
