IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for Estonia

Effective November 22, 2018, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect changes to the Individual Country Listing for Estonia.

As a result of a formal request made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 79, dated June 18, 2018, Estonia Post is providing new wording about items addressed to parcel lockers. Since parcel lockers are now the preferred delivery channel in Estonia, Estonia Post requests the inclusion of the addressee’s telephone or mobile phone number and email address on the customs declaration form for each registered or nonregistered small packet, package, or Priority Mail Express International® mailing. This contact information is crucial to pre-advise addressees of delivery or to notify them that their items are ready for collection. Without this contact information, Estonia Post might delay delivery of items addressed to parcel lockers, and addressees might not pick up their items.

Estonia Post requests that each registered or nonregistered small packet, parcel, or Priority Mail Express International item addressed to a parcel locker contain the addressee’s telephone or mobile phone number and email address on the customs declaration form. This contact information is crucial to pre-advise addressees of delivery or to notify them that their items are ready for collection.
