IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for the Philippines

Effective November 22, 2018, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect changes to the Individual Country Listing for the Philippines.

In consultation with Philippines Post, the Postal Service is removing the prohibition of “Coffee in any form” and adding a restriction to allow a limited amount of liquid coffee, coffee beans, or ground coffee for personal consumption only.

Liquid coffee, coffee beans, or ground coffee, used for personal consumption only. Liquid coffee may not exceed two bottles, each containing 500 grams (approximately 29.5 fluid ounces), and coffee beans or ground coffee may not exceed 2 kilograms (approximately 4.4 pounds). Approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) —Philippines is required for items that exceed these limits.

Although effective on November 22, 2018, the Postal Service will incorporate this revision into the next edition of the online IMM, which is currently scheduled for January 27, 2019. The online IMM is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
