IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for Djibouti

Effective January 31, 2019, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect changes to the Individual Country Listing for Djibouti.

In a formal request made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 136, dated October 1, 2018, La Poste de Djibouti requests the inclusion of the addressee’s landline or mobile telephone number (if available) on the address label or customs form of an item sent with Registered Mail® service, First-Class Package International Service®, Priority Mail International® service, or Priority Mail Express International® service to Djibouti. This contact information enables La Poste de Djibouti to notify the addressee, particularly via short message service (SMS), that the item is due for delivery or is available for collection.

[Replace “None” with text to read as follows:]

On the address label or customs form of each item sent with Registered Mail service, First-Class Package International Service, Priority Mail International service, or Priority Mail Express International service, display the addressee’s landline or mobile telephone number, if available. This contact information enables La Poste de Djibouti to notify the addressee, particularly via short message service (SMS), that the item is due to be delivered or is available for collection.
