Business Connect Kit: Host Grow Your Business Day Events

All local Post Offices are encouraged to host a Grow Your Business Day (GYBD) event during Small Business Week (May 5–11, 2019) to maximize USPS® revenue potential. Business Connect (BC) would like to encourage postmasters and managers to interact with local businesses to discuss USPS products and services. The new BC Kit, which is scheduled to arrive in offices by March 15, 2019, provides users with the tools they need to host an event and discuss the needs of local businesses.

The kit was designed to make hosting an event easier and includes the following elements:

n Invitation/Direct Mail Post Card. Use to invite businesses to attend local events (must be ordered at least 3 weeks in advance through eBuy2).

Invitation / Direct Mail Post Card

n Invitation Flyer. Place or post in common areas to let business customers know how to attend local events (must be ordered at least 3 weeks in advance through eBuy2).

When the BC Kit arrives, familiarize yourself with the kit elements as many of the items are time-sensitive. The kit includes all the item numbers for each element so that additional copies can be ordered for multiple events. The activities generated from events count toward the quarterly BC recognition program. Postmasters and managers must document all BC activities in the BC portal using the quality activity criteria listed in the kit.
