Effective March 28, 2019, the Postal Service™ is revising the International Country Listing for Sweden in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to note that Sweden is imposing a value-added tax (VAT) on all goods with a declared value imported from outside the European Customs Union. In addition, Sweden requests the inclusion of sender and addressee contact information.
These revisions are based on a formal request that PostNord Group AB made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 33, dated February 25, 2019.
