Effective August 2021, the Postal Service™ revised PS Form 8020, Report of Installation (Postmaster or Officer-in-Charge), to add instructions for filling out the form. Included in the instructions is the mailing address of the USPS® Historian, to whom all completed PS Forms 8020 must be mailed.
The information provided on this form is used to update Postmaster Finder, the Postal Service’s national historic record of postmasters by Post Office™, which can be found online at about.usps.com/who-we-are/postmasterfinder.
Revised PS Form 8020 is now available on the PolicyNet website:
n Go to blue.usps.gov.
n In the left-hand column under “Essential Links,” click PolicyNet.
n Go to the right-hand side under “Published Forms and Directives,” click Forms, and then click on the range 8000–8999.
n Scroll down to the form entry and click the PDF icon.
