IMM Revision: Update Related to Changes in U.S. Sanctions

Effective February 24, 2022, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®), section 541.3, to reflect revisions in U.S. policy that prohibits exports of defense articles to specified countries.

This revision reflects the amendment that the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls made to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) reflecting that Ethiopia is subject to a policy of denial for licensable exports of defense articles and services effective November 1, 2021.
