IMM Revision: Priority Mail International Board Game Large Flat Rate Box Discontinued

Effective February 24, 2022, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®), Exhibit 232.4b, to remove the entry for the Priority Mail International® Board Game Large Flat Rate Box. This revision aligns with the revisions to Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), sections 123.1.4.2, 223.1.6.2, and 703.2.1.2. (See the article in this issue of the Postal Bulletin.)

The Postal Service has decided to discontinue production of the Priority Mail International Board Game Large Flat Rate Box, which a customer can use to qualify for Priority Mail International Large Flat Rate Box pricing. This decision is based on the inability to run this box on package processing equipment, costs associated with manually processing this box, and reduced customer usage in recent years.

Although the Postal Service has discontinued production of the Priority Mail International Board Game Large Flat Rate Box, the Postal Service will continue to accept this box and provide the customer the applicable price for the Priority Mail International Large Flat Rate Box. Moreover, this revision will not affect the Priority Mail International Large Flat Rate Box, which will remain available as a Postal Service offering.

In addition, the Postal Service will revise Notice 123, Price List, to reflect this IMM revision in the next update of Notice 123 on Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
