Effective February 24, 2022, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Portugal in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to note that the value-added tax (VAT) exemption is abolished.
This revision is based on a formal request that CTT Correios de Portugal (the designated operator of Portugal) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 151, dated September 27, 2021.
