Effective July 9, 2023, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), section 507.3.2.2, to clarify the basic eligibility for Hold For Pickup service.
The Postal Service is revising section 507.3.2.2 to specify that Hold For Pickup service is also available at retail Post Office™ locations for Priority Mail® with Collect on Delivery (COD) service. This revision will provide clarity and consistency in the basic eligibility standards for Hold For Pickup service.
Although the Postal Service will not publish this clarification in the DMM until July 9, 2023, this standard is effective immediately.
