Effective June 1, 2023, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Italy in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to clarify that customers may mail cremated human remains (human ashes) to Italy.
This revision is based on a consultation with Poste Italiane (the designated postal operator of Italy) dated May 9, 2023.
