Effective June 1, 2023, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Uzbekistan in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to add an observation to include additional contact information when mailing items containing goods to Uzbekistan.
This revision is based on a formal request that Uzbekiston Pochtasi (the designated postal operator of Uzbekistan) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 47, dated March 27, 2023.

Observations
[Add a new entry to read as follows (adding “1” before the first entry):]
2. For each item containing goods mailed to Uzbekistan, display the addressee’s mobile telephone number (when possible) on the customs declaration form, address label, and all accompanying documentation. The absence of the addressee’s mobile telephone number may lead to delays in customs clearance, processing, and delivery of the item.

Although effective June 1, 2023, the Postal Service will incorporate this revision into the next edition of the online IMM, which is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
