The Postal Service™ is seeking nominations for the 2007 National Awards Program for Diversity Achievement beginning on May 7. Established in 1996, the awards program recognizes individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to encourage and promote diversity within their organization.
All career Postal Service employees are eligible for nomination and participation. Excluded (except when acting as an essential member of a team) are the following: diversity and human capital development manager, senior diversity programs coordinator, diversity development specialist, and Hispanic program specialist.
Awards will be given in six categories: Individual, Leadership, Team, Altruism, Mentoring, and “Dot Sharpe” Lifetime Achievement Award. Eligibility is based on excellent performance in achieving diversity objectives as they align with the Strategic Transformation Plan 2006-2010.
Complete and submit all nominations through the Intranet via the Employee Development and Diversity Web site at http://blue.usps.gov/diversitynet/awards/. The nomination deadline is June 8, 2007.
