Star struck

Only the safest worksites get it — the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program’s (VPP) Star status.

The Rochester Hills, MI, Carrier Annex is now one of them. They recently received their VPP Star flag, becoming the second postal facility in the Southeast Michigan PC and only the third postal worksite from Michigan to earn the distinction.

To reach Star status, applicants must establish comprehensive safety management systems, exceed OSHA’s voluntary safety and health standards and pass a rigorous onsite evaluation by an OSHA team.
