New Management Instruction: Water Quality Management

Management Instruction (MI) EL-890-2007-6, Water Quality Management, is now available. The new MI, which is effective immediately:

• Provides comprehensive guidance and implementa­tion requirements that align with policy to enable Postal Service™ compliance with regulations.
• Documents organizational changes.
• Provides updated references to regulations.

The following MIs are now obsolete:

• MI AS-550-2002-7, Stormwater/Waste Water Management
• MI AS-550-2002-8, Procedures for Selecting an Appropriate Vehicle Washing Technology.

MI EL-890-2007-6 is available on the Postal Service PolicyNet Web site:

• Go to http://blue.usps.gov.
• Under “Essential Links” in the left-hand column, click on References.
• Click on MIs.
