Packaging the holidays

The holidays are upon us and USPS employees will once again process and deliver more than 20 billion cards, letters and packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

You can help make sure your package arrives in good condition by using a sturdy box such as the Priority Mail Flat-Rate Box to keep your shipment secure. Pad items with bubble wrap, newspaper or other material to reduce shifting and protect the contents. Use packaging tape instead of masking tape. And for added peace of mind, write addresses on a separate slip and place in the package.
