IMM Revision: Company Permit Imprint Postage Payment Option for International Mail

Effective September 8, 2009, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) section 152.4 to clarify that a company permit imprint may be used as an authorized postage payment method.

For clarification and to provide greater customer conve­nience, we are revising IMM 152.41 and 152.44 to include a company permit imprint option as a postage payment method. In addition, we have added two new graphics to Exhibit 152.44 to illustrate this style of permit.

We will incorporate these revisions into the next printed version of the IMM and into the monthly update of the online IMM, which is available via Postal Explorer® at http://pe.usps.com.
