Domestic Claims Update

Effective July 28, 2013, the Postal Service™ is taking steps to enhance the domestic claims process to improve the customer experience. You will now find a convenient link to online claims on the usps.com home page. When filing online, you will receive an email confirmation that your claim is active. In addition, you will be able to check the claim status online from your usps.com account. All domestic claims for Insurance (includes Priority Mail® with embedded insurance), Collect on Delivery (COD), and Registered Mail™ can be filed online.

We encourage you to file your domestic claims online. Filing online is convenient and reduces resolution time. There is no need to stand in line to get a claim form, and Online Claims is easily accessible. To get started, go to usps.com and click on “File a Claim”, or go to www.usps.com/domestic-claims.
