Changes to Contract Delivery Service Route Administration Policies

The Postal Service™ has revised policies applicable to the administration of Contract Delivery Service (CDS) routes. Supply Management made Handbook SP-1, Highway Contract Routes — Contract Delivery Service and Management Instruction (MI) SP-CS-2009-1, Conducting Highway Contract Route Surveys obsolete.

In July 2018, Delivery Operations published new MI PO–531-2018-01, Administration of Contract Delivery Service Routes, which provides the revised CDS route administration policies. MI PO-531-2018-01 supersedes the guidance from obsolete Handbook SP-1 and MI SP–CS-2009-1.
