Flint USPS Offers Pictorial Postmark to Celebrate Huckleberry Railroad 50th Anniversary

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will issue a special pictorial postmark at the 50th anniversary of Huckleberry Railroad at Crossroads Village, 6140 Bray Rd., Flint, Michigan, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12 noon – 9 p.m. The unveiling is at 1:15 p.m.

Pictorial postmarks are event postmarks offered by the Postal Service to commemorate local community events, such as the 50th Anniversary celebration.

Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12 noon – 9 p.m. The unveiling is at 1:15 p.m.

Background:

While the primary role of a postmark is always to cancel the postage, the significance goes beyond a postmark. For 250 years, the Postal Service has connected communities and served every American household in every community across the nation. The postmark represents our Postal Service employees’ in Genesee County who are involved in the communities where they live and work.

Guests who visit the Crossroads Village on Saturday, August 29th can visit the replica Post Office from 12-5 pm to purchase a stamped envelope or postcard with the pictorial postmark for $1.00 each.

The pictorial postmark is also available for 30 days (through September 29, 2026) by either visiting the main Flint Post Office, 250 E. Boulevard Dr., or by mail. To receive this special cancellation, enclose your stamped, addressed envelope in a larger envelope, and mail to:
