ANCHORAGE --- Alaska Postal officials have announced a temporary suspension of mail delivery and retail operations in the city of Anchorage, Eagle River, and Wasilla due to the earthquake.
Some deliveries were made across the area, but delivery operations were suspended at the request of State and local emergency operations.
The only retail location open is at the Anchorage Processing and Distribution Facility, 4101 Postmark Dr. Anchorage, AK 99529.
We will make future decisions after consulting with emergency management officials and structural engineers.
