ANCHORAGE, AK – Local customers unaccustomed to seeing postal vehicles on Sundays are in for a surprise beginning March 22.
In response to the recent boom in online retail shopping, the United States Postal Service will be delivering packages seven days a week.
Carriers in Anchorage, Wasilla, Palmer and Eagle River will be out helping connect Americans to vital goods and products.
The Postal Service is an essential governmental service. The organization has a mandate to deliver vital public information and goods, including medications, urgent items of commerce, social security checks, and on-line purchases, among other things.
The seven-day delivery will continue until further notice.
