Successful mission to provide ample access to face mask to postal employees
ALASKA – The Postal Service mail processing team has been working on making available 1,000 masks for employees. Hand sanitizers and gloves have also been widely distributed.
The Postal Service is following Federal and CDC guidance regarding face coverings and social distancing.
During this challenging time, employees across the state are continuing to work hard in making sure customers receive essential items. While they continue to rise to this unprecedented challenge, they are asking the public to take preventative measures so everyone can stay healthy. One of those measures is to help respect social distancing for delivery and retail employees.
The Postal Service is absolutely essential to the American people. They deliver much needed medication, social security checks, automobile parts, etc. As always, USPS is ready to rise to the occasion when it comes time to deliver for the many people and companies depending on them.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
