Proudly serving the community of Haines, Alaska
In the past, Greg often initiates decoration themes at the Haines Post Office. Today, coworkers surprised him with a banner, thanking him for his 30 years of service and hanged origami birds (he loves birds) from the ceiling of their office.
Postmaster Genevieve Bell provided lunch and Greg’s daughters and grandkids brought a cake.
“He always comes to work cheerful, does his work safely and efficiently. He is dedicated to his work and care tremendously for his customers, neighbors, friends and co-workers. I am thankful to be working with Greg.” An anonymous community member placed a sign (WE LOVE R P.O.!) by the entrance of the Post Office, welcoming workers on Monday morning.
Greg was also presented with a Certificate of Appreciation along with a 30 years of service pin which he is proudly wearing! According to Greg, “It has been my honor and pleasure to serve the community of Haines, Alaska for the past 30 years. I do my best to make my glass half full, rather than half empty each morning when I come to work. I believe that attitude is contagious, and encourages my co-workers and customers to do the same.”
