Nikiski Contract Postal Unit to Open October 28

Nikiski, AK — Beginning Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Nikiski postal customers will once again have access to local mail services. The Nikiski Post Office will reopen at its original location: 51708 Kenai Spur Highway, Nikiski, AK.

Post Office Box delivery had been temporarily relocated to the Kenai Post Office due to a contract transition. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and are pleased to restore service to the Nikiski community.

Mail access at the Nikiski Post Office will resume after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Regular hours of operation will be:

  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Retail services at the Nikiski location will resume on November 10, 2025.
