Piedmont, AL — The U.S. Postal Service temporarily has suspended retail operations at the Piedmont, AL, Post Office, 111 E Ladiga St, Piedmont, AL 36272-1735, due to unforeseen facility issues. Repairs are being made, and it is anticipated that retail services will resume within a week.
The Post Office Box lobby was not impacted and remains accessible to customers who wish to pick up their mail. The Piedmont PO Box lobby is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Customers may conduct retail transactions at the nearby Spring Garden Post Office, 1325 County Road 29, Piedmont, AL 36275-2000. The Spring Garden Post Office is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. This Post Office is closed on Sunday. Customers also may call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s website at www.usps.com for additional nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.
Customers may notice a slight adjustment to the arrival time of their letter carrier, as delivery operations temporarily have been moved to the Jacksonville Post Office, 421 Pelham Rd N, Jacksonville, AL 36265-2142. If you’re not home at the time of delivery of an accountable item such as Certified Mail or Registered Mail, your Letter Carrier will leave a PS Form 3849 Delivery Notice to reschedule delivery or you may pick up your item at the Jacksonville Post Office. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. The Post Office is closed on Sunday.
