Mardi Gras Parade Temporarily to Impact Postal Service Operations on Feb. 25

Mobile, AL — On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, a parade will be part of the Mardi Gras Day celebration in Mobile, AL. On this day, postal service will be impacted at Post Offices within close proximity of the parade route as follows:

  • There will be no mail delivery for ZIP Codes 36602, 36603, and 36604.
  • The U.S. Postal Service will not pick up mail deposited in collection boxes in ZIP Codes 36601, 36602, 36603, and 36604.
  • Midtown Station, ZIP Code 36640 will not have Post Office Box delivery.   
  • Main Office, ZIP Codes 36601, 36633 and 36652 will have Post Office Box delivery.
  • USPS Business Mail Entry Unit at 250 Saint Joseph Street, Mobile, AL 36601 will be closed.
  • Retail operations at the Main Office, 250 Saint Joseph Street, Mobile, AL 36601 and Midtown Post Office, 907 Spring Hill Avenue, Mobile, AL 36604 will be closed.
  • Retail operations at Loop Station, 415 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36606 (the closest open Post Office to the parade route), as well as all other Post Offices in Mobile, AL, will remain open for business and will observe regular hours of operation.

Although some U.S. Postal Service locations will be closed, usps.com continues to be the easiest and most economical way to fulfill your mailing and shipping needs. It’s like having a Post Office available 24 hours,  7 days a week … always available and convenient! 

Regular collections and delivery services will resume on Wednesday, February 26.
